The Kart School has been set up to provide structured driver training and
tuition to young people and adults alike. Its main aim is to provide
training that will lead to the driver attaining the necessary standard to
obtain an MSA competition licence, but is also suitable for current licence
holders to improve their skills and for people that would simply like to
take hire karting one step further.
The tuition is given by instructors who have been involved in karting for
many years and who hold manufacturing, racing and competition experience.
The tuition is done in small groups up to a maximum of four people enabling
the driver to get the maximum attention from the instructors. Advice is also
given on obtaining a licence, joining a club and attending a race meeting.
All karts and equipment are supplied and karts used are competitition
prepared karts that will suit the driver's age and ability.
MSA Start Karting packs can be purchased from the circuit, with ARKS tests
and open practice days being regularly available.

Drive-Tech Karting is based at the famous Castle Combe motor racing circuit in north Wiltshire. We have a purpose-built 350m track surfaced in the same SMA asphalt as used at Grand Prix tracks around the world. Practice and training sessions are available for adults and juniors using our 200cc Stratos karts.
Drive-Tech runs a junior racing club for drivers between the ages of 10 and 15 years, and the competition is some of the most intense in the southwest. We supply the karts and clothing, and all the drivers have to do is turn up and race. Many of the top drivers subsequently take their ARKS test with the school and move on to race competitively at MSA level.
Adult drivers are catered for in our Public Grands Prix throughout the year when drivers of all abilities do battle on one of the fastest leisure tracks in the area. Again, Drive-Tech supplies all equipment and experience gained in these events is a good way of practising race skills before progressing to ARKS training.
ARKS tests are held through the year at weekends if there is no public or private racing. Only four-stroke karts are allowed on our track, but you are welcome to bring your own Pro-Kart or to hire our equipment. All tests are by prior arrangement – at busy times there may be limited availability or specific dates set aside. Contact Alan Cooper or his office on 01249 783010.
The Lee Rennison Kart School is situated at the Clay Pigeon Raceway, one of Britain’s premier kart circuits. This recently formed ARKS recognised school has been set up to provide karting instruction and courses at the highest level from a- former British Champion. It aims to provide the first step on the ladder to MSA karting, from purchasing and maintaining your equipment, to preparing for your ARKS test and, finally, racing!
We have access to classroom teaching, one-to-one tuition, spectator areas, fully prepared and stocked shop and the facility to hire all the necessary equipment, if required, for your ARKS test. Our equipment is fully race prepared, not de-tuned for the school, so it is the real thing for you to start on.

Protrain was one of the first companies to offer professional training for kart drivers in this country. Protrain Karting Courses were first run in 1982, teaching kart drivers how to improve their driving techniques and kart set-up. The training days and corporate days have developed with time and experience and are now segmented into various areas so that they precisely match a client’s requirement.
Protrain’s Introductory Karting Courses and Corporate days cater for total beginners or indoor karters and train in racing kart driving techniques up to the level required for our ARKS courses and the ARKS Test, the standard to gain an MSA kart racing licence. For experienced drivers Protrain offer a range of Techniques Courses teaching race craft, kart set-up and performance enhancements. The training days and corporate days are run every week on a one to one or small group basis using British and European Kart Championship winning driving instructors. Protrain mainly holds its training days at the Whilton Mill circuit near Northampton. A range of two-stroke racing karts is used from 60cc Cadets through various clutched and direct drive 100cc karts to Rotax Max 125cc karts and racing 4-strokes. Protrain is a Motor Sports Association recognised kart school and has been deeply involved with the development and operation of the Association of Racing Kart Schools training scheme.
Protrain runs an International kart racing team, European champions in 2006, that offers race hire for drivers who wish to have the best equipment backed up by professional race guidance and set-up. The team visits a number of different club meetings each month plus the National and European championships. Protrain is heavily involved with the sale of kart equipment and is distributor for the World, European and British Championship winning range of Gillard Racing Karts.

Motorsport is the new name
for SRS Racing
which was established in 1981 by school principal Stuart Ziemelis. Stuart, who is a multiple ex-British champion, recognised a need for proper training and a safe introduction for novice drivers into the exciting sport of kart racing. Stuart was also involved with the ARKS Association at its conception and
Ziemelis is a founder member.
Basic tuition, ARKS testing and advanced race craft, along with the hire or purchase of karts and equipment can be arranged with the
Ziemelis Motorsports School. Activities also include Cadet and Junior confidence building, and advanced Junior and Senior expert one to one driver coaching.
Once an individual has contacted
Motorsport there are many options open to them. They can attend a pre-ARKS test training lesson, where all the necessary equipment and tuition is provided. The next step would be to book and take the ARKS test. Once successfully through the test the options are either to purchase or hire a kart. Whichever direction is chosen the
Ziemelis team will ensure you receive a complete back-up service allowing the driver the freedom to focus purely on racing.
Mtotorsport has the expertise of an ex-British champion, and the dedication of a first class support team that is totally committed to providing the ultimate karting experience.
